KIMS Bahrain Medical Centre (KBMC) is the first private venture in Bahrain, which began its operations in 2004. KBMC, a multi-specialty outpatient centre with diagnostic facilities and a pharmacy, gained instant popularity due its accessibility, affordability and quality of service.
We deliver quality medical care through a professional team of doctors, nurses, paramedics and administrators with high-end facilities and equipment. Our centre is also equipped with a modern hospital information system that allows the operations to be almost paperless.
We have specialties such as - Internal Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics, ENT, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Dental and Dermatology. Our services also include Physiotherapy, Laboratory, Radiology and Pharmacy.
Our team comprises of friendly and well-trained multilingual staff who are always ready to welcome you. We are committed to provide affordable medical care in a hygienic environment to all the people living in Bahrain and add value to their wellbeing. We firmly believe in taking corporate social responsibility, whereby we conduct medical camps and health awareness programs in association with local support groups and business associates.
Quality is always paramount at KBMC and we take pride in being accredited by ACHSI, an independent organization dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare through continual review of performance, assessment and accreditation.
KBMC belongs to the India-based KIMS Group, which already has a strong foothold in the Southern India. The Group has a total of 16 institutions in India and Gulf comprising of hospitals and medical centres. In GCC, KIMS has presence in Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi, Oman and the UAE.
Dr. M I Sahadulla
Chairman & Managing Director - KIMS Global
A senior consultant in Internal Medicine, Dr M I Sahadulla qualified from Medical College, Trivandrum in MBBS and MD and subsequently became fellow of the RCP Ireland and London. He had been working in Saudi Aramco (Arabian American Oil Company) hospitals in Saudi Arabia since 1975 to 2001 when he joined as Chairman & Managing Director of KIMS Healthcare Management Ltd and Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences.
He was a well-known teacher in Medical College Calicut and as a clinician he was subsequently involved in Healthcare Quality, Infection control and Accreditation in Aramco. Then he acquired an MBA from University of Leeds, UK and became a Healthcare Manager in the Administrative services of Saudi Aramco. His 40 years experiences as Teacher, Clinician and healthcare Manager makes him an eminent leader in healthcare in India. He is a winner of many awards in the field of entrepreneurship in India. He is the Chairman of KIMS Group of Healthcare Institutions which spreads in Kerala and in GCC countries.
Mr. Ahmed Jawahery
Chairman – KIMS Bahrain Medical Centre
Mr. Ahmed M.A. Jawahery is a Bahraini entrepreneur. He is the Chairman & Chief Executive of Middle East Trading & Engineering Establishment (METEE). METEE has been established by Mr. Ahmed M.A. Jawahery since 1974 and has grown into a major organization specialized in engineering and trading activities, also associated through a global network of specialized companies providing quality services to the local industries with special emphasis to Power Generation, Power Transmission and Distribution, and Industrial Maintenance. In July 2004 Mr. Ahmed M.A.Jawahery established a medical center in the Kingdom of Bahrain called Kims Bahrain Medical Center (KBMC) in partnership with Kerala Institute of Medical Science in India (KIMS). He is the Chairman of KBMC and he is now the president of Royal Bahrain Hospital. He is the partner and Executive Director of American Cultural & Educational Center (ACEC). ACEC has been operational since 2001 serving the Bahraini public with courses in English as a second language, test preparation for the TOEL, SAT, GRE, GMAT and specialized courses for business, conversation and individual tuition. He is also the Chairman of World Oil w.l.l. a company based in the Kingdom of Bahrain and having its branch office in Germany dealing in oil and gas. Other than being a successful businessman, Mr. Ahmed M.A. Jawahery devotes his time to the charity and service organizations. He is the past president of the Rotary Club of Manama. Mr. Jawahery has received many awards for his voluntary services to the community from the Ministry of Labour & Social Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain and from the District Governor of Rotary International.
MR. C.H. ABDUL RAHEEM
Executive Director – Finance
A Chartered accountant by profession, Mr. Raheem has over 35 years of experience with national and international business houses. His international assignments includes long term association with Saudi Petrochemicals Company (SADAF) Saudi Arabia, a joint venture between Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and Shell Oil Company of USA, based in the Jubail Industrial City of Saudi Arabia, from 1983 until 1991 as the head of the finance function. More recently, from 2003 to 2011, he served as the General Manager, Finance and Business Planning of Tasnee Petrochemicals, Jubail Industrial City, the largest private sector petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia. Before moving to Saudi Arabia, he served as the Finance Manager at Galadari Brothers Holding Ltd, one of the leading business conglomerate of UAE, between 1977 and 1983.
He is one of the founder director and member of Board of Directors of KIMS Healthcare Management Ltd. Presently he is its Executive Director at Cochin as well as the Executive Director Finance of KIMS India and the GCC Operation. He is responsible for charting out the financial strategies and growth plan of the KIMS Healthcare Group. He is also member and office bearer of several educational, charitable and social organizations.
Dr. Sheriff Sahadulla
Chief Medical Officer and Executive Director - KIMS Bahrain Medical Center
Dr. Sheriff Sahadulla is the Chief Medical Officer and Executive Director – Medical for KIMS Healthcare. Prior to joining KIMS, Dr. Sahadulla was based in Boston and held the position of Regional Medical Director for TEAMHealth, a National Healthcare Management Company. He has also held the position of Medical Director and President of the Medical Staff, St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua.
Dr. Sahadulla obtained his medical degree from Tufts University in Boston and his Post graduate training in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan. He is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is also a Senior Fellow of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Sahadulla has won several awards including TOP DOCTOR by New Hampshire Magazine in 2011 and 2014. He was also awarded the TeamHealth Regional Medical Director/VP of the year award in 2014.
Mr. Jacob Thomas
Mr. Jacob Thomas has been in the healthcare industry for about 15 years during which time he has served in many key operating roles. Prior to becoming a Director of KMI, he was part of a Bangalore-based Critical Health Systems and Services, a hospital planning and management consultant firm where he spent 5 years in healthcare consulting. Prior to that, he spent 5 years with the Apollo Hospitals Group, as an integral member of their projects and consultancy division and has directly served many of Apollo's strategic cliente
He specializes in management consultancy services ranging from infrastructure development, facilities and equipment planning, human resource planning, business transformation, and business development. He is familiar with healthcare delivery systems of various geographies within India as well as of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Middle East, South and South East Asia and, North, East and West Africa. He holds his Master's degree in Hospital Management (MHM) from the Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration, Hyderabad after his graduation in science. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and has attended several conferences and training programs in Healthcare Planning and Management in India and other countries. In his role as the Director Operations of KMI, he is instrumental in business development, planning, implementation and management support to the various healthcare projects and operating units under the Group in the GCC.

The healthcare sector in the GCC region is experiencing a rapid transformation through expansion. Encouraged by this trend, KIMS Global is entering into an exciting new growth phase with a view of increasing our current network and contribution towards the development of the sector.
As a brand, we continue to evolve on the back of our strengths and core values in India and the GCC region. Presently, we have nine hospitals and nine medical centers, bed capacity of more than 1,700 and employee strength of 6000. Our GCC footprint is spread across Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and the UAE, and we aim to move ahead with a firm determination of bringing world-class facilities near to you.
Quality and patient safety come first at KIMS, and this is reflected at all levels. Our hospitals and several of our medical centers are duly accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI), a globally renowned independent authority on quality standards in the healthcare sector.
One more feather in our cap has been added recently when our Royal Bahrain Hospital (RBH) was awarded the Centre for Excellence for Bariatric Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation (SRC).
In terms of patient communication, we are consistently remodeling ourselves to align with the best of the platforms. New touch points have been developed to ease the information and communication flow and initiatives such as the RBH Patient Portal and Mobile Apps have already raised our service factor.
With KIMS Management Internationale (KMI), we have added one more dimension to our expertise in hospital management, planning and consulting. With over 111 man years of combined experience in the industry, KMI is one of the region’s leading and established full service healthcare consultancy today.

KIMS Bahrain Medical Center (KBMC) is accredited to ACHSI, an independent organization dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare through continual review of performance, assessment and accreditation. It is a three-year membership program for establishing and maintaining quality care and services in healthcare organizations across the world. ACHSI is a subsidiary of Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS). /p>
KBMC aims to achieve and maintain similar quality standards that are hallmark of all KIMS institutions. In fact, KIMS is the first hospital in India to get the ACHSI accreditation. With the completion of the ACHSI process, KIMS has developed and implemented a firm system of patient care based on infection control and safety. This has also helped in creating a culture of evidence-based approach to healthcare and data-driven decision-making.
