The Australian Council On Health Care Standards International (ACHSI) is an Australian based accreditation body providing internationally recognized accreditation and quality improvement services for health care organizations.
Established in 1974, the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) is Australia's leading health care accreditation provider. In June 2005, after increasing global interest in Australian health care accreditation, the ACHS established ACHS International Pty Ltd to deliver programs and services internationally.
ACHS International delivers accreditation and quality improvement programs for health care organizations, offers a comprehensive clinical indicator program, provides consultancies for the development of local accreditation programs and undertakes tailored reporting and analyses.
KIMS has recently become the first hospital in India to get the Australian Council for Health Care Standards International (ACHSI) accreditation. ACHSI is one of the few international agencies certified by the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) to undertake healthcare facility accreditation around the globe. With the completion of the ACSHI process, KIMS has developed and implemented a firm system of patient care based on infection control and safety. It also helped in creating a culture of evidence-based approach to healthcare and data-driven decision-making.
ACHSI has recently completed its first organization wide survey on KBMC on 22nd and 23rd of May, 2008.
KBMC is the First Medical Center in GCC to be accreted by ACHSI
