Note:

  • H1N1 vaccine will be given to high risk groups and then it will be extended to other categories
  • MMR vaccine 2nd dose catch-up campaign was started in 1998 at the age of 12 years to cover the unprotected students with 2 doses of MMR vaccine and this service was stopped in 2007 when all the cohorts received the vaccine during infancy become 12 years old.
  • Hepatitis B vaccine catch-up campaign was started in 2001 at the age of 14 years to cover the unprotected students with 3 doses of Hepatitis B vaccine and this service was stopped in 2008 when all cohorts received the vaccine during infancy become 14 years old.

General vaccine contraindication

  • The vaccine is contraindicated in case of severe allergic reaction to vaccine component or following a prior dose.
  • Immunocompromised and cancer patients should present a certificate from the treating physician prior to vaccine administration.
  • Moderate to sever illness at the time of vaccination.
